Team Captains -- Returning for 2026!

Team Captain Overview:

St. Croix Composite Team Captains are motivators, leaders, and ambassadors for the entire St. Croix Valley youth. Captains play a critical role in building team spirit, growing the team and providing key communications between the riders and coaches. 

St. Croix Composite will have two sets of captains, High School and Middle School. While each set of captains will be for their respective team, both High School and Middle School captains will work together to foster a leadership model that is best for the team as a whole.

All juniors and seniors who have been on the team for at least one year are eligible to become High School team captains. 

All 8thgrade students who have been on the team for at least one year are eligible to become Middle School team captains. 

Responsibilities

• May not miss more than 5 team practices 
• Plan team building activities outside of practice 
  • Fun rides, bonfires, movie nights, BBQ’s, trail work sessions
• Help lead one practice per month, Dirt Kidz, MS, or HS

To apply to become a Team Captain candidates interested athletes will complete an application and a one-page essay answering questions from the coaching team. The application form can be found here:

Team captains will be selected by the coaching team and the St. Croix Composite Board Members.
