DirtKidz

Our DirtKidz program was started to offer younger riders (4th and 5th Graders) a chance to learn Mountain Biking in a fun and game filled setting. The program centers around having kids learn mountain biking skills and riding the trails at Whitetail Ridge in River Falls.  Kids spend time playing bike games that teach them how to ride safely and gain the skills needed to concur riding and racing the trails for a lifetime.

DirtKidz Practices are fun! They consist of games, with cones, barrels, poles, pool noodles and more.  The riders learn how to shift, turn, get into the right position “Attack Position” and most important… Braking. The riders will then hit the trails.  Our ride leaders keep the kids in small groups and start off with beginner level singletrack. By the end of the summer all of our riders are able to ride many of the trails in the twin cities area and even compete in races!
